- Isn’t Spedy less feature-rich than ClickUp?
- Yes — by design. We believe tools that do everything do nothing really well. Spedy focuses on engineering PM, wiki, and time tracking. If you need mind maps, whiteboards, or chat, ClickUp or dedicated tools (Miro, Slack) are better.
- How does Spedy perform on large boards?
- Spedy uses a modern architecture (Next.js, Postgres with indexes, realtime via Socket.io) and is designed for large boards and multi-repo setups. Concrete load numbers depend heavily on the setup — on request we'll happily run a demo with your real data volume rather than pointing to forum reports.
- Can we migrate from ClickUp?
- ClickUp provides a JSON export per workspace. Migration is currently a manual process: we recreate tickets in Spedy via script/API (custom fields must be remodeled). A dedicated importer is planned. For teams of 10+ users we handle the migration at no cost.
- Does Spedy have whiteboards and mind maps too?
- No. We recommend Excalidraw (open source, EU-hostable) or tldraw for whiteboards. Mind maps aren’t a core engineering feature — if you need them, ClickUp is richer here.
- How does the cost compare when switching?
- ClickUp Free → Spedy Free: free (trade-off: Spedy Free has user limit, ClickUp Free has storage limit). ClickUp Unlimited ($7) → Spedy Pro (€9): slightly more expensive, but EUR pricing and AI coding agent as an additional feature.
